Sensory bottles are a mess-free way to encourage sensory play. It’s also a fun way for your kids to create something that they will enjoy watching and has actually been shown to help children calm down as they watch the small objects move around in the bottle.

Materials

– Plastic Bottle
– Glitter
– Small objects such as beads, pom poms, small toys
– Food Colouring
– Vegetable oil or Baby Oil
– Water
– Super Glue (Optional

Start by filling 3/4 of the plastic bottle with water and add a few drops of food coloring. Mix the food coloring until dissolved. Then add glitter and small objects. Fill the remainder of the bottle with oil and screw the lid back unto the bottle. (Optional) add a small amount of superglue along the rim of the bottle to ensure your children are not able to unscrew the lid.
