January 30, 2021 / Banyan Tree Kidz ~ / 0 comments
Geoboards are grids usually made of pegs that hold rubber bands. They were originally created as a mathematical manipulative used to better understand geometry, perimeter, and area. However, these boards are very versatile and can be used to teach shapes, ABCs, numbers, and much more. Follow the instructions below to create your own geoboard.
Materials
-Cork Trivet or a thick piece of cork
-Pushpins
-Rubber bands
Use push pins to create a basic grid on a cork trivet. Make sure that the push pins are evenly spaced out. Allow your child to create shapes, letters and numbers with rubber bands. *Supervise your child at all times.*
